Or digitally different?

As an author I’m not sure whether I should be inspired, challenged or alarmed by the recent announcement by J K Rowling that she will be branching out into digital space with Harry Potter and his wizarding hordes in the Autumn. The dominance which these books have held in the print medium will now find its way elsewhere when Pottermore opens its virtual gates. However, as a #digidisciple I find it rather exciting.

Consider how these quotes from J K Rowling’s introduction to Pottermore might look applied to the Bible’s book of books in this Biblefresh year:

“It is the same story with a few crucial additions, and the most important one is you”

“The digital generation will be able to enjoy a safe, unique, online experience built around the books”

“A lucky few can enter early and help shape the experience”

Whilst I hold to the truth of the Bible as delivered, I hold equally to the belief that its story is written over and over again in the lives of Christian men and women. By their lives of faith they bring the Bible’s truth into three-dimensional space, a bit like the owl in the picture above.

So, what are you waiting for, why not enter the Biblemore experience over at BigBible, and help shape Biblical experience for a digital generation?
